Our Pt. Richmond yard opened in 1996, operating on approximately six acres at the end of the 25-foot deep Santa Fe Channel in the Inner Richmond Harbor. We have multiple sheds for enclosed workspaces, the largest rig shop on the West Coast, two marine Travelifts, and a portable crane for mast stepping.

Our History
The Maritime Centre was born from a vision of KKMI’s founding partner, Paul Kaplan. He fell in love with a boat, his first mistake, and even as the owner of a boatyard, he saw a need for a space where multiple vendors could assist in her rehabilitation and bringing this old classic back to life.
Our First Customer
Santana was the inspiration for the Maritime Centre and for all intents and purposes she was our first customer – learn more about Santana.
Clean and Green
As the famous frog has pointed out – it’s not easy being green. ESPECIALLY when there are so many others who cut corners in this regard. This facility has gone above and beyond in the efforts to make sure what isn’t supposed to go into the Bay, stays out. We are proud to be a certified “Clean Marina”.
